Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, has described Professor Olayemi Akinwumi as a visionary and selfless Vice Chancellor.
Dr. Salisu made this known in his message to celebrate Prof. Akinwumi, the Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja (FUL), on his 59th birthday on Saturday.
Kogi Poly Rector noted that at 59, Prof Akinwumi’s life truly typifies an all-round success.

“Today, we have the unique privilege to celebrate you as a visionary and selfless Vice Chancellor, and more importantly because you have reached another significant milestone in your journey through life. At 59, you lead a life that truly typifies an all-round success.
“Over the years, you have demonstrated the real leadership ideals, values, progress and ethics embedded in your official and social interactions. Today and every day, we celebrate your continuous relevance as not just an accidental but also a visionary and transformational leader that is well nurtured in the progressive ideology.
“You have continued to display your unquenchable zeal and passion for quality service delivery towards nation-building since your assumption of office as the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Lokoja, he said.
Dr. Salisu prayed that God, in His infinite mercy, grant Prof Akinwumi good health and prosperity.
