In a bid to cushion the effects of potable water scarcity in the Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency, Hon. Tijani Ahmed Ozigi rehabilitated the long-abandoned Waterworks in Okene Local Government, precisely in Okene II, which had been in a comatose state for decades.
For years, residents of this constituency have faced serious hardship due to the lack of access to clean and reliable water. Many households, especially those located on high hills, are forced to walk long distances to fetch water using jerrycans and buckets, which they carry on their heads back to their homes. In some areas, families even go as far as buying water at high costs just to meet their daily needs.
Among his campaign promises was to deliver the dividends of democracy to his constituents and ensure their voices were heard, especially concerning their pressing needs. Today, he is not only fulfilling those promises but is also working to provide lasting solutions to the challenges faced in the constituency.
The waterworks project benefits not only his constituents but also residents of Okehi/Adavi Constituency, particularly those living in Adavi-Eba.

While the broader plan is to dig boreholes across the constituency, two boreholes have already been completed, one in Bariki and another in Obehira Uvete Ward. His focus remains on addressing the major challenges in the constituency, and he is committed to providing effective and sustainable solutions.
No stone will be left unturned in fulfilling his campaign promises, especially in solving the long-standing water crisis that has burdened the lives of his people for too long.
