NAKOSS National Pays Courtesy Visit to Kogi Govt, Pledges Commitment to Students’ Welfare

The National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS-National) has reiterated its commitment to building a strong relationship with the state government and working together to advance the interests of students.

The newly inaugurated President of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS-National), Comrade Sunday Adeola Simon, made this known when he led a delegation of students on a courtesy visit to the Kogi state government.

The team was warmly received by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Ali Bello, at his Okene residence during the Eid-Al-Adha celebration.

During the visit, Comrade Simon expressed profound gratitude to Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for his unwavering support to students and youths across the state. He specifically thanked the Chief of Staff and the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Monday Anyebe, for their pivotal roles in ensuring a smooth transition of NAKOSS to active students. Comrade Simon also commended Governor Ododo for appointing Hon. Anyebe, whom he described as a dedicated and responsive Commissioner who prioritizes the welfare of youth and students.

The NAKOSS-National President further extended appreciation to Hon. Charity Ijese, Special Adviser on Youth and Women Mobilization, for her support to students and the feminine gender.

In response, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Ali Bello, advised the students to remain focused on their educational pursuits despite the demands of leadership roles. He urged them to prioritize student welfare in line with the policies of the Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo administration.

The Chief of Staff appreciated the students for their visit, reiterating that his doors are always open for consultations and advice.

The Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulrahaman Suleiman, who was present during the visit, encouraged the students to collaborate with the incumbent administration to attract benefits to their constituency.

Comr. Omolade Ejiwumi, a NAKOSS-National stakeholder, also commended the Chief of Staff for the good governance being delivered to the people of Kogi State.

Other members of the delegation included Comrades Christiana Olaeye, NAKOSS-National Deputy Senate President; Usman Abdulateef, NAKOSS-National Assistant General Secretary; Usman Isiaka, NAKOSS-National Treasurer; Comr. Emmanuel Ariyo, NAKOSS President, Federal College of Education, Okene Chapter; and Comr. Oyiza Mercy Abu, Director of Feminine Gender, NAKOSS-National.

The delegation appreciated the Chief of Staff for receiving them and prayed that God would continue to guide him as he works with the Governor to make Kogi State better.
