“I extend my gratitude to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, The Executive Governor of Kogi State, and the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Deedat Ozigi, along with Kabba/Bunu Stakeholders and everyone who has played a vital role in ensuring that Kabba/Oweland is steered back to the path of peace and unity. Your proactive measures of 16th September, 2024 in addressing the recent challenges surrounding the selection of a new Obadofin of Oweland are deeply appreciated. Though the day was a public holiday, you all sacrificed your time to care so much for my community, I thank you deeply.

“As we move forward, I urge everyone to remember that no meaningful development can occur without sacrifices. As a contestant for the throne of Obadofin, I implore all members of our beloved community to understand that Kabba/Oweland is our only home, and we must do all we can to uplift it, not dishonour or pull it down. A king can only lead a united people.

“Let us embrace love and unity in all that we do. I strongly discourage any division and negative social media wars or reports. I appeal to those involved to sheath their swords and choose peaceful resolutions to our differences. I firmly dissociate myself from any negative social media campaigns targeting any Owe son or daughter.

“Let us come together and promote peace and love for the progress of our community.”
