The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has issued a stern warning to individuals and groups engaging in unauthorized activities, presenting themselves as agents and representatives of the association, including its Kogi State branch.
In a letter addressed to Dr. Tunde Arosanyin, AFAN National leadership noted with concern that some persons have been presenting themselves as agents and representatives of AFAN including its Kogi State branch and denounced these actions as fraudulent and emphasized that only officially designated individuals with proper credentials are authorized to act on behalf of the association.
The AFAN National leadership advised those involved that they do not possess any legitimacy, authorisation or instructions to act on behalf of AFAN or its Kogi State branch. Reiterating that, they are not authorized to organize or conduct any association committee elections or related activities as any such actions are unauthorized and in direct violation of the rules and regulations of the association.
The National leadership of AFAN affirmed Dele Bello Williams Esq as the only appointed representative of the association in Kogi State and directed all its members in the state to liaise directly with him for any AFAN, Kogi State administrative or business matters.
The statement further warned that continued misrepresentation of status will not be tolerated and
individuals or groups found engaging in such illegal activities will face legal repercussions. AFAN urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the association’s headquarters.
This move comes as a response to growing concerns about individuals exploiting the association’s name for personal gain. AFAN aims to protect its reputation and ensure that its members and the public are not misled by fraudulent activities.
