Kogi State Commissioner for Agriculture, David Apeh, has been accused of injuring a young lady in Ibaji local government area of the state while driving recklessly.

Spokesman of Ibaji Progressive Youth Foundation, Ojodomo Unekwu, told our reporter that the Commissioner for Agriculture hit one Miss Ruth Ameh with his vehicle due to reckless driving and ran away.

According to Unekwu, Ruth Ameh, a native of Unale Ibaji in Kogi state, was rushed to a nearby hospital in neighbouring Idah for medical care after the incident.

He, however, lamented, that till date, David Apeh has refused to visit or take care of medical bills of the injured lady.

“He abandoned Miss Ruth Ameh alone at the hospital since 20th March 2023.

“The questions begging for answers are: Hon. Apeh David, assuming you killed her with your vehicle, would you have run away? Hon. David Apeh, can you hit your biological daughter with vehicle and run away? Would you be happy if someone hits your daughter with vehicle and run away? Imagine the pains and sufferings you makes innocent lady go through,” he asked.

The Ibaji Progressive Youth Foundation decried the injustice and wickedness, insisting that the Commissioner step in and take care of the injured lady.

All efforts to get the Commissioner to react to the allegations proved abortive.
