Social activist, Comrade Austin Okai has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives’ flag bearer for the 2023 general election for Dekina-Bassa federal constituency.
He picked the PDP ticket for Dekina-Bassa federal constituency after defeating his closet rival, Hon. Emmanuel Omebije with 28 to 16 votes.
Okai, while addressing the media after he was declared winner, extended the olive branch to his co- contestant, Omebije, urging him to join hands with him to win the general election.
He commended the peaceful conduct of the primaries, as he promised to continue with his good work if elected at the general election.
