Senator Isah Jibrin, popularly known as Echocho, has continued his community development efforts in Kogi East, providing additional solar streetlights to several communities as part of a broader push to improve security and enhance residents’ well-being.
The latest batch of solar streetlights was received in Ogugu, where Hon. Emmanuel Joshua, alongside other stakeholders, commended the Senator for his sustained commitment to empowering the people of Kogi East through various development initiatives.
“The Senator’s intervention projects are everywhere in Kogi East. Echocho has our total support, and we shall vote for Mr. President through him,” Hon. Joshua said.
A similar gesture was extended to the Ikpakpala community, where Alhaji Tijani AkpaMada received the solar streetlights on the community’s behalf. He described the intervention as timely, noting that the installation of the lights would help address insecurity and curb the rising incidence of crime in the area. AkpaMada also pledged the community’s continued loyalty and support for Senator Echocho.
In a related development, Senator Echocho flagged off the construction of open shops at two markets — Odu Ofugo and Ajekelaga Abocho — further extending his development footprint across Kogi East.
The market infrastructure project is designed to encourage commercial activities, expand entrepreneurial opportunities, and improve the economic well-being of the affected communities and their environs.
Together, the solar streetlight distribution and market development projects underscore the Senator’s continued focus on security, economic empowerment, and grassroots development across Kogi East.
