The PDP Youth Progressive Forum in Biraidu district has congratulated Alhaji Husseni Ibrahim (Ejini) on his well deserved nomination as the sole candidate for the position of Divisional Party Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party in Dekina local government area of Kogi state.
The youth group agrees with the decision of PDP Anyigba Ward on the consensus arrangement and urged Ejini to swing into action by carrying people along while building a strong party structure that can win elections across the twelve wards of the local government.
The youth leaders emphasised on the need to have a structure that can match the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in everything concerning election, insisting that the era of complaining is over.
They warned party executives not to prioritize primary election as the only roles of party organs, but follow up with a party candidate all through his campaign, as well as getting men and women of impeccable character as party polling agents during election as important preponderance for election victory.
The secretary of the association, Comrade Sunday Adaji Jnr, made this known in a communiqué released after their annual conference in Abocho on Friday.
In the communiqué, they called on other contestants to come together as one family and work with Hon Ejini as the party remains the best platform to rescue Kogi state and Nigeria from maladministration.
Comrade Adaji assured the party executives of the group’s readiness to support the party in subsequent elections.
He emphasized that PDP has recorded numerous achievements under the administration of Hon. Ejini as the party Chairman, hence they have decided to give him more support now.
The youth group also called on the party leadership to ensure unanimous decision on any decisions of a party to avoid rancor.
