Second Republic Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, Senator Joseph Funsho Obasaju is dead.
The Baba Ewe of Bunu Kingdom died in his Ilorin, Kwara State residence on Thursday.
His younger brother, Barrister Temitope Obasaju Stephen, confirmed his demise on behalf of the family.
Born in May 1946 in Kabba, Kogi State, late Obasaju was elected member of Kwara State House of Assembly under UPN to represent Kabba-Bunu constituency. He was elected into the Senate in 1983 where he served in the Senate Committees on education and local government
The burial arrangements will be announced later.
