Kogi Govt Committed to Development of Mount Patti Tourism Potentials – Femi Bolaji

The Special Adviser to the governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. ‘Femi Bolaji has reiterated Kogi state government’s commitment to develope Mount Patti and make it an attractive tourist centre.

Bolaji made this known when himself and the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Ade Omofaiye toured the mountain in Lokoja on Thursday.

He noted that the tour was a follow up of ongoing discussions and deliberation on how to bring life back and make the tourist mountain work again.

The visit, according to him, afforded the state officials the opportunity to inspect the extent of cleaning, clearing and fumigation exercise to be carried out in other to keep the tourists mountain in pristine condition at all time.

The team also took out time to monitor the activities of illegal wood loggers who have been encroaching on the reserved forest of the mountain to carry out illegal deforestation.

Hon. Femi Bolaji gave assurances of the present administration’s commitment to making Mount Patti work again and making it one of the most visited tourist centre in Nigeria.

Joined on the tour are the Director of Sanitation, Mr. Vincent Falodun and the Director of Forestry, Mr. A  Adam.
