The Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, HRM Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni JP has presented two tyres and car batteries to the Joint Task Force of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) to enhance patrol in Ijumu Kingdom.
The presentation is under the Ijumu Security Trust Fund as plans have been concluded to distribute motorcycles to security agencies in the Local Government Area.
Speaking during the presentation at his Palace at Iyara, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni charged security agencies to be more proactive in discharging their duties, assuring of more support.
According to him, the move is to complement government effort in providing security of lives and property, noting that the lives of all Ijumu sons and daughters are important, hence the donation.
He warned criminal minded persons in the area to stay away, pointing out that the renewed effort for improved security in Ijumu is aimed at making Ijumu safe for all the citizens.
The Ijumu paramout ruler commended prominent Ijumu sons and daughters who have contributed to the Ijumu Security Trust Fund for their generosity and prayed God to reward the kind gesture.
Leader of the JTF in Ijumu described the donation as first of its kind and promised to do more for a secured Ijumu.
