Ajaokuta youths under the umbrella of Ajaokuta Youths for Good Governance Initiative has described the first visitation of Hon. Lawal Idirisu to his constituency since he was re-elected as a welcome development and a stepping stone to step up his leadership style.
The youths speaking through their president, Comrade James Mohammed noted that AYGGI as a group has been vindicated as the absconded lawmaker has considered it worthwhile to visit his constituency for the first time after his re-run election.
AYGGI General Secretary, Comrade Muhammed Abubakar while reacting said ”One of our focal objectives is to draw the absconded lawmaker to his responsibilities. We are solidly against the misanthropic and negligible attributes of Hon Lawal and we frown at such, thus using media instrumentality to call his attention. We are pleased to have him in our midst this weekend and we hope he looks inward to balance the loopholes in his poor leadership ethics.
Muhammed also noted that “as advocates of good leadership and representation, we want to appreciate the lawmaker for hearkening to one of demands by visiting the same people that voted him for the first time”
The group media and publicity secretary, Comrade Abdulhameed Ivavah urged the lawmaker to continue to be a good ambassador for the people he has sworn to represent, adding that, if he continues in such direction, he won’t need to employ over 20 media assistants to defend his nonperformance and ill representation.
“By the virture of Hon. Lawal’s position, he is our leader, what we at AYGGI are demanding from him is purposeful and inclusive representation for the benefits of all. We are not aiming at demeaning his personality as claimed by some e-rats pesting in the lawmaker’s peanut for survival. We are progressive youths speaking for the voiceless and we hope and pray that God will guide our leaders right.
“In the face of all threats and intimidation, we have solemnly vowed never to stop agitating for what we deserve until it is done. So help us God.”
