Details on how Late Aliyu Abubakar Tijjani a Nigerian national was killed by a Kyrgyzstan National have emerged.
According to Bishkek police department, the suspect in his statement to police alleged that he was video chatting near a shopping mall (Chynar mall) while a foreign national approached him and asked him not to film him,the suspect replied that he was not filming him.
He further alleged that Ali Abubakar started swearing, as their verbal conflict continued on their way to the TSUM, where the suspect punched Abubakar in the face for allegedly insulting him, as a result, Abubakar fell down and hit the pavement with his head and bled.
Eye witnesses immediately called the ambulance, Ali Abubakar was hospitalized and later died at the Bishkek national hospital on July 4 2019 in the evening.
The 22-year-old suspect was arrested and arraigned, pre-trial probe into inflicting serious bodily injury was launched against him.
Late Ali Abubakar Tijjani has since been buried according to Islamic rite.
