Ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 10 wards in Mopamuro local government area of Kogi State have endorsed Senator Smart Adeyemi as the only one capable of worthy representation of Kogi West at the red chamber, come 2019.
The chairman of the ward leaders, Mr. Obasun Samuel made this known while speaking with journalists in Mopa shortly after a meeting at the APC party secretariat on Thursday.
Obasun told newsmen that the ten ward chairmen endorsed the ‘NextLevel’ aspiration of the APC and endorsed the candidature of President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov. Yahaya Bello.
He stated that the numerous achievements of Smart Adeyemi in Mopamuro are commendable and enough to re-elect him in 2019.
He described Adeyemi as a man that has impacted many people’s lives in term of human development and communal services.
Highlighting some of the Senator Adeyemi’s achievements, he mentioned the distribution of taxis and Pathfinder Jeeps to individuals and chiefs, rehabilitation of roads, facilitating the employment of Kogi West indigenes into the civil service, distribution of deep freezers, grinding machines to women for empowerment, scholarship scheme to tertiary institution students, facilitation of the Federal Government College in ljagbe, contributions to towns and new yam festivals, capacity building through establishment of skills acquisition center, building and rehabilitation of market stores, rehabilitation and building of clinics and hospitals, facilitation of Kabba-Ilorin Federal road, distribution of drugs, hospital equipment and ambulances to clinics and hospitals, distribution of food to needy as some of the evergreen achievements of the former Federal lawmaker.
“Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi’s contributions on the floor of Senate were great in term of Bills, motions and legislative activities. This man is presentable anywhere, he is humble and above all, he is not a rascal,” he said.
He called on all lovers of democracy and good governance to rally round the ward chairmen in the drive to ensure total victory for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
