A front line politician and standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ankpa-Olamaboro-Omala federal constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has been granted bail after eleven days detention in Police custody over allegation of crime.
The high ranking politician, who was accused of been involved in the case of human parts trade, got a preliminary vindication with the unprecedented jubilation and testimony from observers that thronged the venue of the court trial.
The bail was granted to Hon Halims and two others by a high court sitting in Lokoja, Kogi state capital.
It will be recalled that Hon Halims has earlier stated in his voluntary statement made at the force headquarters that his only contact with the principal suspect, Hamidu Yakub was partly ten years ago when the latter approached him to help him get an appointment at the Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa.
Hon. Halims, a well known business man, has since the breaking of the allegation which many described as been politically motivated enjoyed immense solidarity by virtue of counter commentaries and statement by friends, supporters and even opposition party members across the state.
