Comrade Olusanmi Olayinka Victoria, Editor-in-chief elect of the National Association of Okun Students (NAOS), has openly distanced herself from the Kangaroo NAOS election held at Charvid Hotel Aiyetoro Gbede by some self-acclaimed stakeholders.
A statement signed by her (Victoria Olusanmi) on Wednesday in Lokoja, said that the kangaroo convention was totally outside the official venue (Ayegunle Gbede primary school) for the NAOS convention as announced by the Elcom Chairman, Comrade Eniola Olayemi.
She said: “My attention has been drawn to a blackmailing list of executives that emerged as winners at the Kangaroo (Fake) convention held at Charvid hotel affixing me to the position of Being the “Editor in Chief”.
“This is barbaric and highly blackmailing to the core.
“I therefore totally distance myself from such group of persons who had written my name to hold such a position as the Editor in Chief in a sabotaging convention, which obviously stands to be an Anti-NAOSites progress convention.
“I am only aware of the authentic convention that was held at Aiyegunle Gbede, officially declared open by the incumbent President and Senate President of NAOS, Comr. Habeebu Ibrahim and Comr. Babatunde Akinola Oluropo respectively and the presence of other principal officers.
“It is on the declaration of the convention ground opened by both the incumbent Executive and Senate President at the official venue (Ayegunle Gbede), that I congratulate my fellow comrades who the convention has brought into power.
“I congratulate Comr. Jacob Abraham Damilare as the Executive President, Comr Juwon Moses as Senate President and Comr Aiyenigba Mercy as the Secretary General- elect amongst other elected Executives”.
Olusanmi added that no other convention could be greater than the one witnessed by the presence of both the incumbent Senate and Executive Presidents of NAOS who declared the convention opened.
“Once again I congratulate Comr Jacob Abraham and Comr Juwon Moses as the Executive President and Senate President-elect respectively, and other elected members as pronounced by the authentic convention held at Ayegunle Gbede Primary School ,Ijumu LGA of Kogi State,” she said.
