As a first step in commencing effective work and to better understand the challenges of the staffers, the newly appointed chairman of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB), Comrade Sulaiman Ndalayi Abdullahi undertook a one day familiarization tour of offices at the board headquarters in Lokoja, yesterday.
The main aim of the tour was for the chairman to identify and acquaint himself with the challenges of both the senior and junior staffers of the board.
The tour was also geared towards other opportunities such as identifying office spaces for possible expansion and workers conditions of service.
Comrade Abdullahi who gave his commitment towards ensuring a conducive environment for all workers of the board said his visit was to access the condition of the offices and the workplace saying he didn’t just want to see the offices and walk away but to interact with the staff on their condition of service.
During the familiarization visit, the chairman commended the workers for keeping the office environment clean, noting that he will not tolerate any frivolities and enjoined them to resist all overtures which are evidently inimical to the set objectives of Governor Yahaya Bello’s educational policies.
He visited offices, inspected the condition of the buildings and had one-on-one interaction with staff members.
In the chairman’s entourage are the board Director of Admin and Supply, Mr. James Ameh and other stakeholders.
