For the past few days our so-called governor has been busy.  I mean busy doing nothing. Before you crucify me, when I say so-called governor, I mean it. A governor that cannot solve the myriads of problems at home; non-payment of salaries, hunger, poverty, infrastructural decay etc is not worth calling a democratically elected Governor.

If not for a bastardized judiciary, how will someone who is not a registered voter in a state become a governor in that state?

My thought provoking question is; why has Yahaya Bello and his aides allowed administrative foolishness, wastefulness, embezzlement and fraud take over the driver seat while administrative wisdom, prudence and accountability takes the back seat?

Imagine over a billion naira of tax payers money was spent on Ondo governorship election. Many thought it was a mistake, but the same is repeating itself again as the governor is spending heavily in Anambra State right now.

Most worrisome is that the governor and his aides spent millions of Naira to go and watch the President Buhari commission projects in other states, while in our dear state there is no project worth commissioning, even by a competent local government chairman talk less of a sitting President.

Many said the administration is confused and lack any iota of intellectual focus, hence it lack the capability and capacity to initiate it own policy which is in tune with the yearning and aspiration of its people. But unfortunately, our governor is adopting copy and paste approach to governance in a Federal set up like Nigeria. Of recent, the state government travel all the way to the far North to copy the Teacher competency test policy of Kaduna state so as to paste it in Kogi state.

What we need in Kogi state is leadership competency test not teachers competency test.

I wonder why the Government of Yahaya Bello cannot copy the good things and policies of other states like the model used in prompt and full payment of salaries, model used in poverty alleviation and masses empowerment, model used in infrastructural transformation, model used in financial and economic resources management. This will be a better and more positive copy and paste ideology rather than turning our youths to professional okada riders and political touts.

Now that it is clear that we have an Internally Displaced Governor who sees the welfare of other states as paramount to those of Kogites, we Kogites have a role to play by using our PVCs wisely come 2019.

Vote out irresponsibility, embezzlement, fraud and lies from Lugard House. Yahaya Bello must go!
