A chairmanship aspirant in Lokoja Local Council of Kogi State, Honourable Muhammad Danasabe Muhammad has reiterated his commitment to transforming the area if voted into office.
Danasabe, who is seeking the chairmanship ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the declaration while speaking with APC women and youths across the ten wards in the local government.
The chairmanship top contender said that his objective is to transform Lokoja Local Government Area by tackling unemployment and youth restiveness and instilling a culture of accountability and selfless service.
Others are expanding access to primary healthcare, providing watertight security in all parts of the local government and entrenching a culture of order and good governance.
Hon Muhammad assured that his government will not betray them and urged them to consider him as the best candidate for the job.
He noted that his government will consult all citizens of the area and come up with the best policy and programme that will bring true satisfaction to the people..
According to him, the realisation of good governance in the council area demands the collective efforts of all stakeholders in the area, noting that the starting point is through the election of grassroot and credible person that has the capacity to transform the area.
The APC stalwart advised the party faithful in particular, as well as all residents in the council area to participate actively in the electoral process by having a say in the election of their leader in the forthcoming local government poll
He admonished the team to work hard and ensure that he gets the party ticket during the primary.
Leader of the delegation, Ismail Usman Kupa urged people to avoid voting for aspirants from diaspora during the local government election saying that:” we must avoid the mistakes of the past were aspirant that reside in Abuja or Lagos who does not know our terrains or plights would secure the party ticket only to turn back against the people that voted for him.
“Hon Danasabe has been living among us, he knows where the shoe pinches, he is our choice”, he said.
The meeting was attended by APC chieftains across the Local Government area.
