Okun Progressive Union in Kogi has lauded the ambition of Chief Lanre Ipinmisho to be the next governor of the state.
Expressing their desire for in an interview the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lokoja, Chairman of the union, Mr Yomi Omonale, said that Ipinmisho had the capacity to fight corruption.
According to Omonale, we have waited for a long time for people of Ipinmisho’s calibre to come into governance.
“Everyone contesting now in all the political parties is still in the same set of embezzlers; we need a man of vision like Ipinmisho,” he said.
He said that the aspirant was credible and was known for his good records at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
He called for maximum support and cooperation from all Okun people to the aspiration of the Ipinmisho, describing him as ‘’the long awaited messiah who would deliver the state’’.

Ipinmisho declared his intention for the governorship of the state on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The election is due in November, 2015.
