Pillar of Sports in Nigeria Hails Kogi Sports Development

The Pillar of Sports in Nigeria and President of the Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) Chief Donatus Agu- Ejidike has commended the Kogi State Government on its part to develop sports in the state.

Ejidike who stated this at the inauguration of the new board members into the various sporting Associations in the state at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, appreciated the effort of the Kogi State Government in bringing together sports technocrats, enthusiasts, philanthropists, credible administrators, ex-sportsmen and women and highly influential individuals to assist in taking sports development in Kogi to the next level.

While congratulating the new board members, Ejidike charged them to make good use of the opportunity to serve and contribute to the development of sports in Kogi, just as he employed them to meet regularly and work as a team for efficiency and productivity.

Ejidike who has just been inaugurated as the new chairman of Karate Association in Kogi State said: “Today, history has been made with the inauguration of the new boards of the various sporting Associations in Kogi.

“The Kogi State Government has done well by providing an enabling environment for sports stakeholders to contribute to the development of sports in the state and following our inauguration today we are poised to compliment Kogi State Government’s effort by giving our best to make the state a force to reckon with in sports in Nigeria.

“I want to advise all the sporting Associations inaugurated here today to be totally committed in carrying out their activities. We all know that the National Sports Festival in Calabar is around the corner and with our collective synergy as tested sports administrators, we can actualize the dream of seeing Kogi make a remarkable impact at the sports festival,” Ejidike concluded.

Board members of 21 sporting associations were inaugurated during the occasion.
