The body’s state patron, Chief Babaniyi Asorose disclosed this while speaking after the inauguration of new executive members in Lokoja, the state capital yesterday.
He said that this became necessary, in view of resolution of the lingering crisis that rocked the association to its roots.
Asorose explained that due to leadership crisis, a stakeholders meeting was held in September and it was resolved that fresh election of all officers be held.
The Patron pointed out that at another meeting it was observed that members were disenchanted following a secret election held in Okene by a factional leader of AFAN. He stated that the protracted crisis had created negative effect on both the state and Federal government.
He therefore urged the new executive officers to try as much as possible to unite all members of AFAN under one umbrella for progress of the association.
Those elected were Honourable Adams Aduojo- State Chairman, Chief Joseph A Avazi as the Deputy Chairman and Mr. Dada Emmanuel as the General secretary
