Despite the challenges rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nationally, the Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi has asked members of the party in the state not to be deterred but to remain resolute and focus.
Yomi Awoniyi made the remarks at the commissioning of the new PDP secretariat in Mopamuro LGA of Kogi State, said the crisis is for a while.
The deputy governor described the party as going through a phase, added that the party will emerge stronger and prosperous.
The Deputy Governor said the new secretariat was aimed at repositioning the party for collective service delivery, said the party remains unbeatable in the state.
Awoniyi disclosed that Mopamuro LGA played a prominent role at the formation of the PDP nationally, urged the members from the area to strive for a united front that will make the party the envy of all.
Also speaking, Prince Olushola Akanmode, former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Vice President, warn the party against complacency, adding that party politics in Nigeria is no longer business as usual, tasked the members to remain focus and united.
Earlier in his remarks Williams Shogo party Chairman of Mopamuro PDP said the idea to have a benefiting party secretariat was geared towards repositioning the party.
