A Non Governmental Organization, Asmau Foundation, has distributed working tools worth N5million to 63 women and youths in Kogi State.
Presenting the items to the beneficiaries in Okene, founder of the foundation, Alhaji Sanusi Abubakar, said the group decided to change from its empowerment programme of giving out cash to people to provision of equipment and tools so as to make them self employed and employers of labour. “I believe that this option is more productive and proactive.
It has the capacity to instigate real growth through self employment”, he said.
