The Dangote Foundation has set aside N230 million to empower 1,000 women in each of the 21 local governments of Kogi State. Each woman will collect a grant of N10,000 to start petty business.
Dangote announced this on Saturday when he visited Kogi State.
He said the N230 million would be distributed to women to boost economic activities in the state.
In a similar donation, last year, the Dangote Foundation gave out N600 million for the economic empowerment of women in Kano State.
