Today, November 2, 2026, marks 28 years since the passing of Oba Zacchaeus Akinyele Otitoju, the revered Elewa of Ekinrin, who joined his ancestors.
As we reflect on this important milestone, we remember a traditional ruler whose reign, service, vision and contributions remain part of the historical heritage of Ekinrin Community.
His life and reign represent a significant chapter in our community’s history. Beyond the throne, his legacy lives on through the memories of those who witnessed his leadership and the enduring impact of his time on the community.
Today, Ekinrin celebrates not just the passage of 28 years since his departure, but also the values, vision and historical footprints he left behind.
May his memory continue to be a blessing to Ekinrin, Ekinrin-Adde and all who knew him.
Twenty-eight years may have passed, but the footprints of purposeful leadership remain in the pages of history.
May the memory of Oba Zacchaeus Akinyele Otitoju continue to inspire generations.
