Kogi people, the election is here. Two votes decide what Kogi West and Kogi State get for the next four years.

FOR PRESIDENT: Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu And Kashim Shettima

Reforms are never comfortable at the start, but they are how a country is rebuilt. Federal support for students through NELFUND, tax reform and a more open economy are now on the ground. Stay the course and let the work finish.

FOR SENATE, KOGI WEST: DISTINGUISHED SENATOR SUNDAY STEVE KARIMI (DSSK)

Judge him by what you can touch.

ROADS AND BRIDGES
Pakuta Bridge reconstruction, linking Aiyegunle Gbede, Kiri, Kupa North and South and communities towards Niger State. About ₦2 billion facilitated for the Kabba-Egbe road, plus ₦6 billion secured to bring the contractor back to site after years of abandonment. In June 2026, the Federal Executive Council approved ₦104 billion for sections of the Obajana-Kabba-Isanlu-Egbe-Omu Aran-Ilorin road and ₦24.7 billion for the Kabba-Ifaki-Ado Ekiti road. These are approvals. We will keep pressing until the work is done.

TRANSPORTATION
Senator Karimi launched buses to ease the high cost of transportation for his people. When fares bite, he did not just talk about it. He put vehicles on the road so that going to market, school and work costs less.

WATER: Solar-powered boreholes in communities across Kogi West, with five industrial boreholes proposed for Lokoja.

EDUCATION BURSARIES: Three editions, one promise to our students. It began in 2024 with ₦100 million for about 1,000 Kogi West students at ₦100,000 each, funded by the Senator himself. In 2025 it grew to ₦300 million for 3,000 students at ₦100,000 each, reaching all three senatorial districts: 1,390 from Kogi West, 1,000 from Kogi East and 610 from Kogi Central. More than 10,000 students applied, and payments began in January 2026 through the Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation and the Tinubu Support Group. In August 2026, a third edition of another ₦300 million opened for applications. That is ₦700 million committed to Kogi students across three editions.

EDUCATION PROJECTS: Classroom blocks at Odo-Ape St. Barnabas and Iluke. A renovated Government Science Secondary School, Koton-Karfe, worth over ₦1 billion. A Computer-Based Test centre. Support to the Anglican Church Nursing School, Iyara.

POWER AND COMMUNITIES: Transformers for Sarki Noma, Mount Patti, Obajana and Agbadu, rehabilitated transformers at Offege-Baptist and Koton-Karfe, and solar streetlights in Lokoja and Koton-Karfe.

HEALTH: A cottage hospital at Edu-Kakanda, Lokoja, built and awaiting equipping and handover.

WOMEN AND ENTERPRISE: 50 cooperative societies empowered in Kabba/Bunu-Ijumu, plus women-focused support for small businesses.

Over 38 communities in Bunu have already spoken on record. Senator Karimi sits in the 10th National Assembly, chairs the Senate Committee on Senate Services, and has taken town halls to all three federal constituencies in Kogi West: Kabba/Bunu-Ijumu, Lokoja/Koton-Karfe and Yagba. He leads the Win With Tinubu/Shettima programme in Kogi State and has stood with Kogi East at Idah and Ankpa.

WHY BOTH VOTES MATTER

A Senator who delivers, working with a President who is reforming, is how Kogi West gets its share. Federal roads, projects and attention go where there is a strong voice in the room. Do not split the voice.
