Top Management, Heads of Departments Pass Vote of Confidence on CUSTECH Teaching Hospital CMD

The Top Management and Heads of Departments of the Confluence University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital (CUSTECH Teaching Hospital), Okene, have passed a vote of confidence in the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Shaibu Stephen Babatunde, commending his leadership, commitment and contributions to the growth and development of the institution.

The vote of confidence followed a meeting of the hospital’s management team and Heads of Departments, during which members reviewed the progress of the hospital under the leadership of Dr. Babatunde.

In their remarks, the management and departmental heads acknowledged the CMD’s efforts toward strengthening healthcare delivery, improving institutional capacity, promoting staff welfare and creating an environment conducive to effective service delivery.

They also commended his leadership style, which they described as purpose-driven, inclusive and focused on continuous improvement, noting that his commitment has contributed significantly to the hospital’s development and its growing role in providing quality healthcare services to the people of Kogi State and beyond.

The management particularly appreciated Dr. Babatunde’s efforts in fostering teamwork and collaboration among various departments and professional cadres, stressing that effective leadership and unity of purpose remain essential to achieving the hospital’s vision.

According to them, the vote of confidence was also an expression of their collective support for the CMD and his administration, as well as recognition of the progress recorded under his leadership.

The Heads of Departments pledged their continued cooperation and support for the management, while encouraging all members of staff to remain committed to professionalism, discipline, compassion and excellence in the discharge of their duties.

Responding, Dr. Shaibu Stephen Babatunde expressed appreciation to the Top Management and Heads of Departments for the confidence reposed in his leadership.

He noted that the achievements recorded so far were the result of collective efforts, stressing that the continued development of CUSTECH Teaching Hospital requires the dedication and cooperation of every member of staff.

The CMD reaffirmed his commitment to working with the management and entire staff to further strengthen the hospital, improve patient care, promote staff development and position CUSTECH Teaching Hospital as a centre of excellence in healthcare delivery.

He called for greater teamwork, professionalism and dedication, emphasizing that the ultimate goal of the hospital is to provide safe, efficient and patient-centred healthcare services.
