The Baale of Amuro Kingdom in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State, Chief Eric Fiki, has expressed confidence that Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo will secure Kogi State’s votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
Chief Fiki gave the assurance in a statement issued on Monday in Lokoja, describing the people of Kogi as solidly behind Gov. Ododo and prepared to reciprocate his people-oriented governance by delivering victory for the APC at all levels in 2027.
“The people remain committed to Governor Ododo because he has delivered impactful projects across the three senatorial districts of the state,” Fiki said.
According to him, the administration’s achievements span major investments in road infrastructure, education, free healthcare, agriculture and food security, livestock productivity, youth and women empowerment, inclusive governance, and social investment programmes targeted at vulnerable groups.
He added that the governor’s sustained grassroots impact has endeared him to the masses across the state.
On Kogi West Senatorial Contest
Addressing the ongoing dispute over the Kogi West Senatorial seat, the Baale noted that although the matter remains before the court, Gov. Ododo would abide by the court’s decision. He assured that whoever is ultimately affirmed as the APC candidate would receive the full backing of the governor, party stakeholders, and the people of Kogi West.
Call for Unity
Chief Fiki urged APC members across the state to remain united and continue supporting the policies of President Tinubu and Gov. Ododo under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
