The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen. Sunday Karimi, has paid glowing tribute to his predecessor, Sen. Smart Adeyemi, describing him as an integral pillar in the growth, unity and development of Kogi West and Kogi State at large.
In a felicitation message issued to newsmen on Tuesday, Sen. Karimi lauded Sen. Adeyemi for his distinguished service and unwavering commitment to the people during his tenure in the National Assembly.
“The effort and sacrifice of former Senator Smart Adeyemi while serving the good people of Kogi West will remain a watershed in our political history,” Sen. Karimi stated. “His bold voice, people-centered representation and relentless advocacy greatly improved the quality of lives of our people and set a standard of leadership that continues to inspire us.”
Sen. Karimi noted that Sen. Adeyemi’s contributions transcend Kogi West, adding that his impact on legislative debates, democratic governance and national development will be greatly appreciated now and in the years to come.
“Senator Adeyemi’s legacy is one of courage, conviction and service. He stood firmly with his people, spoke truth to power, and brought dignity and visibility to Kogi West on the national stage,” he added.
The Kogi West Senator prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for Sen. Adeyemi, wishing him many more years of impactful service to Kogi West, Kogi State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
