The Kogi West Patriots, a socio-political group committed to the advancement and development of Kogi West Senatorial District, have officially endorsed the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Muyiwa Fatosa, for the 2027 Kogi West Senatorial election.
The endorsement was announced following a meeting of the group’s leadership, where members expressed confidence in Fatosa’s vision for the district and his commitment to delivering people-focused representation at the National Assembly.
According to the group, Fatosa’s emergence as the NDC candidate offers Kogi West an opportunity to embrace a new generation of leadership driven by innovation, accountability, economic development, youth empowerment and inclusive governance.
The Patriots noted that Fatosa’s proposed legislative agenda, including investments in innovation and creative hubs, women’s economic empowerment, skills development, infrastructure renewal, healthcare, education and job creation, aligns with the aspirations of the people across the seven local government areas of Kogi West.
Speaking on the endorsement, representatives of the group urged residents of the district to rally behind the NDC candidate, describing him as a capable leader with the competence, energy and strategic vision required to attract meaningful development to the senatorial district.
Responding to the endorsement, Muyiwa Fatosa expressed appreciation to the Kogi West Patriots for the vote of confidence, pledging to justify the trust placed in him through issue-based campaigning and people-centred representation.
He reiterated his commitment to pursuing policies that will improve infrastructure, expand economic opportunities, empower women and young people and ensure that Kogi West secures its fair share of federal projects and investments.
Fatosa recently emerged as the NDC candidate for the Kogi West Senatorial District and has continued to unveil policy initiatives as part of his campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
