2027: Idris HK Storms Kogi East for Consultations Ahead of Official Declaration

A leading Kogi East senatorial aspirant, Alh. Idris Hussain Kashim (Idris HK), has intensified grassroots consultations across Kogi East ahead of his official declaration under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His tour commenced with a condolence visit to the family of Comrade Abuh Yahaya at Ojuwo-Olijo in Ofu LGA, where he sympathized with the family over the loss of Abuh’s younger brother after a brief illness.

In Ofakaga II, also in Ofu LGA, the philanthropist assured residents of swift intervention to repair a faulty transformer responsible for the community’s epileptic power supply.

Moving to Egume in Dekina LGA, Idris HK paid a condolence visit to the Attabor Royal Clan, where he was received by the family head, Alh. Abubakar Nuhu Attabor, CEO of Ajantos Nig Ltd.

The PDP Ward Chairman in Egume, Alh. Mohammed Yusuf, offered prayers for the success of the HK Movement, expressing optimism ahead of the elections.

The senatorial hopeful also engaged key stakeholders, including Chief Ademu Igbadi, Alaji Dauda Alaji, and Alh. Mohammed Abdul, Director of Finance and Accounts at the Federal Ministry of Justice.

Highlighting the track record of the Aspirant, Prince Basit Ajeka commended Idris HK for impactful interventions in Egume-Ome, including solar light installations, empowerment of youths with motorcycles, mosque renovation, and contributions to the Egume market project.

Addressing supporters, Idris HK reaffirmed his commitment to service, stating:

“Any wealth that cannot inspire me to empower our people should not come my way. My mission is rooted in the peace and development of Igala/Bassa land.”

He further urged unity across communities.

In his response, Alh. Abubakar Nuhu Attabor pledged support for Idris HK’s ambition, assuring of mobilization efforts despite not being aligned with any political party.

The Foundation’s Coordinator, Comr. Raphael Agalama, appreciated the warm reception from the Egume community.

As part of his consultations, Idris HK visited High Chief John Odawn, a PDP founding figure and a former State Chairman of the Party, who praised his return to the party and noted that the late Dr. Stephen Achema would be proud of his political journey.

The tour culminated in a royal homage to the Onu Egume, Chief Simon Ochimana (Anuu), who offered prayers and blessings for the aspirant’s success.
