The Olu Apata-Oworo, Dr Fredrick Balogun, JP, has commended Gov. Ahmed Ododo for what he described as qualitative and impactful leadership in his first two years in office in Kogi.
Balogun gave the commendation in an interview with the newsmen on Tuesday in Lokoja.
The traditional ruler described Ododo’s two years in office as a period of massive social and economic transformation that has improved the living conditions of citizens and residents of the state.
He said that the governor’s commitment to workers’ welfare, particularly the prompt payment of salaries, was second to none.
“We have witnessed remarkable improvements in the health and well-being of the people following the transformation of the health sector, especially across more than 200 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in the state.
“This administration has also recorded notable achievements in infrastructure development, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads and schools,” he said.
Balogun said that the people of Apata-Oworo would remain grateful to the governor for the construction of the farm road linking Apata, Uru and Aku in Adavi Local Government Area.
He added that the state was experiencing increased food production as a result of deliberate policies to boost agriculture and support farmers.
According to him, Ododo’s second anniversary in office marks a significant milestone, considering the state’s current level of economic growth and development.
The royal father also applauded the governor’s security initiatives, particularly the acquisition of surveillance drones to enhance security operations and flush out criminal elements.
Balogun prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health and wisdom for the governor to lead the state to greater heights in the remaining years of his tenure.
He urged citizens and residents of the state to support the policies and programmes of the Ododo administration to ensure sustainable development in Kogi.
