But what we observed in many African countries is pull him down syndrome which is a real challenge in many African countries, it’s a mind set where individuals and groups often brings down others with series of allegations and accusations of wrong doings rather than constructive engagements and progress

Certain factors could be responsible for this which some could includes:

Jealousy and insecurity
Some individuals may feel threatened when they see others progress or successful on thier achievements

Lack of emotional intelligence
Difficulty in managing emotions can lead to destructive behaviors.

Cultural and Historical factors
Legacy of colonialism, corruptions and social norms can contribute to this mind sets

Lack of institutional frameworks
Weak institutions and inadequate checks and balances can enable this behaviors.

How will this act affect national progress ?

It can stagnate progress and also discourage innovations, entrepreneurship and leaderships spirits

Erosion of trust
This will undermines confidence in Institutions and individuals

Divisive policies
It will fuels polarizations and conflicts

What is the way forward for progressive change ?

The need to promote emotional intelligence, empathy and constructive communication

The need to strengthen institutions
This is by building a robust independent institutions to hold individuals accountable

The need to foster a culture of accountability, encourage transparency, accountability and responsibilities

We need the culture of leading by example. Leaders should be involved in positive behaviors by promoting culture of respects and inclusivity.

In conclusion, by acknowledging and addressing these challenges, African countries can work towards a more constructive and progressive political parties.
