Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, a well-known philanthropist and a major opposition leader in Kogi State, has called on Nigerians, and especially Kogi State citizens, to go all out for peaceful coexistence during and beyond the yuletide.

In his Christmas goodwill message on Wednesday, Braimoh said it feels like this season is a good chance to think things over, forgive, and get back to living without any form of trouble.

He noted that places where hate or violence exists can not move forward as they will always fall apart.

“We need to live together in harmony so that we can face our common enemies of poverty and insecurity,” he stressed.

He urged political leaders, folks in the community, and the youths to avoid anything that stirs up trouble. Instead, talking it out, accepting differences, and respecting each other – that seems like the way to handle misunderstanding.

“Showing kindness to people who have it rough, building up that sense of community development, and holding onto hope, even when things get tough with societal issues, and always sharing the little we have with everyone, will go a long way in discouraging many evils that breed insecurity and other vices in our society.

“I think the whole idea of Christmas for him is about sharing hope, bringing people into unity, and aiming for something better, more calm, and with chances to get ahead.

“Merry Christmas to everyone in Kogi State and beyond, wishing you a new year full of hope, love and peaceful co-existence,” Braimoh added.
