The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, has called for synergy between law enforcement and the legal community.
He made the call when he played host to the executive members of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Lokoja Branch.
The CP pledged to ensure transparency, professionalism, and collaboration with zero tolerance for police misconduct.
He further acknowledged the NBA’s crucial role in facilitating criminal justice administration and urged them to visit detention facilities to monitor conditions. He emphasized the need for information sharing and cooperation to prevent crime commission.
The visit aimed to promote justice, rule of law, and public safety through effective policing.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, Lokoja Branch, AS Abbas Esq., commended the CP on the ongoing efforts in the fight against crime and criminality in the State. He emphasized the significance of collaboration between the Police and NBA.
He called for cooperation between the Human Rights Committee of NBA and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) across the command. He assured the NBA’s commitment to cooperate with the Police command to ensure smooth administration of justice.
