The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, has expressed deep appreciation to the people of Ijumu for their overwhelming love and solidarity during the celebration of his one year in office. He described their support as a strong motivation to continue delivering purposeful leadership and people-centered governance that reflect the aspirations of all communities within the Local Government Area.
Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people with sincerity, availability, and dedication. He emphasized that his administration remains focused on ensuring the safety of lives and property, strengthening local trades, protecting sources of livelihood, and expanding access to essential services that improve the quality of life for every resident of Ijumu.
The Chairman also extended special appreciation to the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for entrusting him with the responsibility to lead the people of Ijumu. He assured the Governor of his total loyalty and continuous alignment with the state’s development agenda, pledging to represent the Governor with integrity and diligence as his eye in Ijumu Local Government Area.
In his message, Alhaji Haruna thanked traditional rulers, religious leaders, and critical stakeholders within and outside the Local Government for their collaboration, guidance, and shared vision toward sustaining peace and progress. He acknowledged their roles in promoting unity and supporting initiatives that strengthen governance at the grassroots level.
The Chairman also appreciated the security agencies for their commitment to safeguarding the area, ensuring that the people of Ijumu can live and sleep in peace. He commended their dedication to duty and reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to continue supporting them in maintaining law and order for the growth of the Local Government, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large.
