Hon. Sanni Abdulraheem, member of the House of Representatives representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, has flagged off the construction of a Town Hall project in Geregu village, describing it as a practical step towards his campaign promise to bring development directly to the people.
Addressing a vibrant crowd of community leaders, elders, youths, and women at the groundbreaking ceremony, Hon. Abdulraheem declared:
“When you gave me the mandate to represent you at the National Assembly, I made a solemn promise that I would not only speak for you at the National Assembly but also work tirelessly to bring meaningful development home. Today’s event is a testimony to that commitment.”
The Town Hall, according to the lawmaker, will serve as more than just a meeting space, it will be a centre for unity, civic engagement, cultural activities, and youth empowerment.”
There are other developmental strides in the pipeline. He revealed that requests for critical road infrastructure within the constituency have received favourable consideration from the state government, with construction work expected to commence soon.

Also in line with his educational agenda, Hon SEA confirmed the approval for the construction of a new block of classrooms aimed at enhancing the learning environment for school children across the constituency.
Hon. Sanni Abdulraheem called on the community to take ownership of the projects, protect them, and ensure their sustainability for future generations.
The event was graced by high profile dignitaries including Alhaji Abdulrahaman Igikwu, a prominent political stalwart and philanthropist in Geregu, who lauded both Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and Hon. Abdulraheem for their developmental vision.
“Governor Ododo is the new Sheriff in Kogi State, attracting meaningful development to our people,” Igikwu said, praising Hon. Abdulraheem as a “talk and do” leader committed to transforming Ajaokuta.
Speaking on behalf of the State Governor, Hon. Taiye Abanika, Commissioner for Urban Development and Housing, commended the lawmaker’s efforts, noting that Governor Ododo is pleased with the infrastructural progress being driven by the Ajaokuta lawmaker
“Governor Ododo has zero tolerance for stagnation and is proud of every representative driving change, SEA is one such leader,” Abanika stated.
The Executive Chairman of Ajaokuta Local Government Area, who hosted the event, also expressed appreciation to the federal lawmaker for his inclusive approach and collaboration in fast tracking community development.
The ceremony saw the attendance of key dignitaries including Hon. Abdulbasit, Special Adviser to the Governor on Protocol, Hon. Hussein Balogun; Hon Haruna Ganaja, Hon. Muhammed Onde, Hon Siyaka Raji, Hon Adambe; Hon. Yusuf, APC Chairman (Ajaokuta Chapter); traditional rulers, and other notable stakeholders.
In a related development, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem led a high level delegation to inspect the Civic Centre built by Dangote Company for skill acquisition and empowerment in Ajaokuta. The center, recently handed over to the Kogi State Government, was visited alongside the State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Helen Adeniyi Aderibigbe.
The inspection is part of broader efforts to integrate vocational training into the constituency’s development agenda, focusing on youth empowerment and sustainable skill-building.
