Member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Hon. Salman Idris, on Monday called on the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Miller Dantawaye, to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a photojournalist based in Lokoja, Mr Ayo Ayepeku.
In a statement from his media office, the rep member expressed sadness over the gruesome murder of the highly promising young many who, according to numerous witnesses, was a perfect gentleman.
He thanked the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for directing the security agencies to thoroughly investigate the unfortunate incident leading to Ayo’s death and that of his alleged killer.
Hon. Salman Idris said both Ayo and Pelumi are his constituents and that he is greatly concerned about the incident.
He urged the people of Kogi State especially his constituents in the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency to be very vigilant and inform others about their movements, especially when they are unsure of where they are going or who they are dealing with.
