He stated that the attackers, who invaded the camp with AK-47 rifles, shot sporadically and killed 41 cows amongst those tied together in the ranches, while a herdsman, Isyaku Samaila, was hit by a bullet in the leg.
Jalido said the injured herdsman was receiving treatment while about 300 cows were missing following the attack.
The chairman, who commended the Kogi State Commissioner of Police for his prompt response in visiting the scene of the incident, however appealed to him to ensure the perpetrators of the crime were apprehended and prosecuted.
He said MACBAN has called on its members in the area to remain peaceful and law abiding in view of the intervention by the police aimed at fishing out the attackers.
Jalido commended the move by the federal government to establish grazing reserves, saying it will go a long way in reducing the movement of herdsmen across the country with the attendant clashes.
