2027: Grassroot Groups Endorse Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for Second Term

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the leadership of the I AM NATASHA forums spanning all eleven wards of Adavi Local Government Area has unanimously endorsed Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for a second term in office.

The endorsement, which took place in Kuroko, drew key grassroots mobilizers, community leaders and supporters from across the local government, signaling growing political momentum behind the senator’s re-election bid.

Leading the delegation, Alhaji Lanta Wahab described the decision as a reflection of the “collective appreciation of a people who have witnessed responsive and inclusive representation.

“Our endorsement today is not based on promises but on visible achievements. Senator Natasha has shown capacity, courage, and commitment to the people of Kogi Central.”

Also speaking at the event, the Women Coordinator, Mrs. Abiodun, praised the senator’s efforts in empowering women and improving access to social support systems.

“For the first time in years, women in our communities feel seen and supported. Her programs have directly impacted households and strengthened economic participation among women,” she said.

Youth Coordinator, Ambassador Orata, highlighted the senator’s investments in youth development, noting that many young people have benefited from job creation initiatives and skills acquisition programs. “She has given hope to the youth. We are not just hearing policies—we are experiencing them,” he remarked.

Similarly, the Okene Forums Grassroots Mobilization Team formally declared its support, commending Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s performance in office. The group cited her focus on human capital development, infrastructural growth, and consistent engagement with constituents as key reasons for their endorsement.

In a statement delivered on behalf of the team, the coordinator noted that the senator has “redefined legislative representation in Kogi Central,” adding that her tenure represents a shift from symbolic leadership to measurable impact.

“Her work has restored public confidence in governance at the grassroots level,” the statement read.

The group further called on constituents across Kogi Central senatorial district to unite in support of the senator’s second-term ambition, emphasizing that continuity is essential to consolidating ongoing development efforts.

The endorsement event concluded with a renewed pledge by supporters to intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections, positioning Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan as a leading contender to retain her seat.
