Otunba Olaiya Michael Olobatoke (OMO) has picked the expression of interest and nomination forms to contest for the House of Representatives ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency in next year’s election.

The aspirant who stormed the national secretariat of the party in Abuja along with his supporters on Monday to pick the forms, said he sees a brighter future for the people of Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency if given the PDP mandate.

Olobatoke promised a non-rancourous competition with other PDP aspirants, noting that the main reason for contesting is to represent the party well and champion the course of the people.

OMO appealed to the electorate, especially party delegates for the primaries to entrust him with their mandate and hold him accountable when he gets to the office.

PDP announced commencement of sale of nomination and expression of interest forms last week.

In the time table approved by the party’s NEC after its 95th meeting, primary elections for the nomination of House of Representatives and Senate candidates will hold on the 12 and 14 of May 2022 respectively just as the congresses to nominate candidates for House of Assembly would hold on the 7th of May, 2022.
