Manifesto of Pastor Femi Obalemo, FCA

I will commit myself to pursuing the enactment of laws and policies that will ensure development of our people and land.

I intend to be very strategic in achieving this and my plans would be anchored on some cardinal areas of need. They are education, healthcare, roads and infrastructure development, security, ecological and environmental interventions, as well as youth and women empowerment and agricultural development of our people.

The ranking of our traditional leaders would also be priority, as that would go a long way in achieving development of our land and people

I will set up a functional and reachable telephone desk (Constituency Office), social media handles, and official website of the constituency, so our people (Kabba/Bunu) can send in their suggestions and complaints, which will form the basis of my prompt and effective legislative interventions and oversight functions.

Bi-monthly meetings will be rotated in different electoral wards and communities within our constituency, where I will have a direct interface with the good people of Kabba/Bunu, to know where I am getting it right or wrong and listen to the popular opinion of our people and make positive adjustments where necessary.

I will carry all our people along in the decision-making process anywhere necessary and ensure equitable distribution of quality life-changing empowerment to the youths, men, women and aged of our constituency to synergize with the executive for the security, welfare, and wellbeing of all the constituents.

Kabba/Bunu Local Government used to have two seats in Kogi State House of Assembly before it was reduced to one, I will agitate for the restoration of the second seat.

I will ensure that quality healthcare and education are at all times within the reach of everyone in our constituency, irrespective of their status.

My voice will be loud and clear at all times in support of any law or policy that will benefit my constituency and against any law that will work against my constituents.

I will agitate for the establishment of Police presence in each of the wards in Bunu district. This will improve the security of our communities and increase productivity.

I will ensure that adequate money is provided annually in the budget for the reconstruction and maintenance of major roads, electrification and water supply to our  communities.

I will agitate for laws and policies that would promote education for our people, as education is the best legacy that can be handed to anyone and primarily for the creation of Kogi State University (PAAU) Kabba/Bunu Campus.

I will work cordially with the executive in order to facilitate employment for our youth and also bring development to my constituency.

I will ensure that all projects allocated to my constituency are critically analyzed and all monies allocated to them judiciously and efficiently utilized through efficient and value adding oversight duty.

My tolerance for corruption shall at all times be zero. I will speak for and defend the interest/right of women and children in my constituency.

I will seek and support the passage of laws that honor and uphold the civil and human rights of all citizens of my constituency.

I will lobby the appropriate authority for the grading and promotion of our deserving traditional rulers.

I will promote and support any bill or law that will encourage farming and off,-taking of farm produce by government and corporate/foreign investors   I will make it my duty to see to it that the poor and the weak are not trampled to the ground, and where it happens, I will give them a voice.

Every law or policy of government that will economically empower our people and permanently lift them out of poverty will receive maximum support from me.

I will team up with other likeminded individuals in the house  to ensure that development comes to my constituency and that all benefits accruing therefrom assuredly get to the constituency speedily.

I will pursue policies and laws that will ensure that the poor and gifted in my constituency can rise to any level of leadership in this country.

Above all, I will, at all times, stand out against insecurity and any threat to the lives and properties of our people.

Our rights to live and to prosper peacefully cannot be compromised for anything.

I am Pastor Femi Obalemo FCA, the candidate with the difference. I will be hardworking and display a high level of professional competence with unquestionable integrity.
