2023: LP, Support Groups Excited as Peter Obi Storms Kogi on Tuesday

The state secretariat of Labour Party located at the ever busy Ganaja junction in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, is wearing a new look with beehive of activities as party leaders and support finalize arrangements to receive Peter Gregory Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party alongside his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, the National Party Chairman Julius Abure and the General Secretary Alh. Umar Farouk Ibrahim.

This is in preparation for the flag off of the presidential campaigns of the party which kicks off in Lokoja the state capital on Tuesday, December 13.

Speaking on the sidelines of a crucial meeting held at the party secretariat, the state chairman of the party Alhaji Suleiman Abdul, stated that he and his team of executives have been on ground and have been working tirelessly, ready to receive the presidential candidate of the party and his train and also deliver the state 100 percent for Labour party.

“This is following his antecedents of grass root mobilization, setting up of local government offices and a seamless and robust relationship with all support groups in the state which has given the assurance to the good people of the state of total victory of the party and the people in taking back their country from its mismanagers.

“In line with this, we urge all support groups and lovers of the party’s presidential candidate to come out enmasse to show support for the beloved presidential candidate who has shown uncommon clout and received the goodwill of the entire country.

“In the same vein the 52 different support groups working in tandem with the state party chairman have also been up and doing, mobilizing their groups and networks which cuts across the 21 local government areas of the state in preparation of this epoch making event which they have the conviction will usher in a new Nigeria upon the swearing in of their candidates in forth coming general elections, in person of Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed,” he said.

In a meeting held to ensure a hitch free campaign rally the leader of the support groups in the state and a member of the the presidential campaign council, Blessing Martins commended the state coordinators of the different support groups and urged them to show determination in taking back their country through the ballot.

She added that unity of the the different support groups and the symbiotic synergy between them and the labour party holds the key to victory in the forth coming elections.

The Labour party chairman in the state urged Kogites who are registered to go and collect their PVCs in the INEC offices in the state, be a part of taking back their country and on the day of the elections, ensure that their votes count.
