Recently, there have been calls from some quarters for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to present a popular candidate with capacity ahead of the 2023 general elections in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

This the agitators based on the fact that for the ruling Party to unseat the People’s Democratic Party PDP which has been dominating the seat since Nigeria returned to Civil Rule in 1999, they must present a candidate that is generally acceptable by the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituents.

This call no doubt is not a misplacement of priority as it is just like an early warning given ahead of any raining season Incase of possible flooding.

According to one of the agitators, “The stranglehold of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the House of Representatives seat since the return to democracy in 1999 is outstanding and overwhelming. This is evident in the fact that, the party against all odds has won every election for the House of Representatives seat since then.”

“The reason for this situation is that PDP has been able to present popular candidates and APC has consistently put forward candidates that the constituents see as not emerging fairly from the primaries.”

As the ruling All Progressives Congress continue to shop for a candidate in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency that will break the jinx of the opposition, one man that stands tall among the arrays of aspirants is Barrister David Aiyedogbon, popularly known as Charvid.

For APC to emerge victorious at the next general polls in the Constituency, it is imperative for the party to note that with Barrister David Aiyedogbon if given the mandate, the party will no doubt coast for victory at the polls.

This is because, Barrister Charvid as fondly called, is connected to the people both at the grassroots and urban areas having worked and retired in the Presidency meritoriously and as a successful business man.

The Green Chamber no doubt is not for boys but for men with capacity to create job and provide purposeful leadership that our people are yearning for in the past years.

We need a man like Barrister Charvid who has the interest of the people at heart, focused, dedicated and committed to the emancipation of his people.

The leadership of the APC and stakeholders should be mindful in their choice of who represents Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly come 2023 as any candidate apart from Barrister David Aiyedogbon might spell doom for the APC.

Let the young and old support the candidature of Barrister Charvid for him to win the Constituency for APC and attract development to our beloved constituency and I am very optimistic that he will not let us down.

APC must not allow the flood in the next general elections to sweep the party away by giving the cap to the humble Barrister Charvid who is fit and sound for the job.
