2019: Lokoja Ward B Endorses Buhari, Bello for Second Term, Opens New Secretariat

Citing what it described as both the Federal and Kogi State governments resolute fight against corruption, war against insecurity, kidnappings and armed banditry, among other issues, the Lokoja Ward B chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Saturday, endorsed the candidatures of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello for a second term in office during the forthcoming general elections.

The  Ward B APC position was contained in a resolution after the party’s general meeting led by its Chairman, Malam Liman Shehu.

The Lokoja local government area Administrator, Hon. Lawal Shiru as well as the Chairman Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Ndalayi, attended the meeting.

The meeting which was initiated by Shiru and Ndalayi was held at Karaworo Street, Lokoja.

According to the resolution jointly signed by the Ward APC Chairman and Secretary Liman Shehu, “the party fully supports all the policies and programmes of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration and the state government led by Yahaya Bello.

“The party commends the Kogi State Governor for transparent administration, open-door policy and wonderful achievements recorded within the short period of two years of his administration in the areas of education, agriculture, health, water supply and infrastructural development and empowerment of the good people of Kogi State.

Speaking at the meeting, Shiru urged the mammoth crowd to appreciate Buhari and Bello by voting for them in 2019 general election.

“The only way to thank President Muhammad Buhari and Governor Bello for the giant paces they recorded in human and infrastructural development was to give them automatic ticket come 2019 general election,” he said.

In his remark, Ndalayi, thanked all the APC stakeholders and supporters for rallying behind the party since it came into power.

He assured the people of the Ward that he will carry all the APC members in the state along, promising to pass the endorsement message to governor Bello.

The occasion which featured reconciliation of agrieved party members and opening of a new APC secretariat in Ward B also provided a platform for the Administrator and the SUBEB chairman to roll out their records of achievements under governor Bello’s administration.

The new secretariat is located at Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Beside National Open University, Lokoja.
