We heartily congratulate the New Direction government led by the amiable governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and the All Progressive Congress (APC) on the 93% landslide victory recorded in the just concluded election, indeed history has been made as Kogi has set the pace for others to follow.
We also congratulate the pragmatic and dogged D.G Campaign, Chief Edward David Onoja, who has proven his worth. Kogi students are solidly behind you.
Indeed this is a victory for all lovers of true democracy and the good people of Kogi State. This is a litmus test for our nascent democracy. Nigerians have shown we are coming of age and the stage is gradually looking brighter for future elections. This should serves as a lesson and reminder to all public office holders to work in accordance with people-oriented programs at the grass-root levels to bring about the much desired catalyst for social and economic development.
We are also using this medium to solicit with the ever loving and student friendly Governor to be magnanimous in victory by hastening and approving the Kogi State Scholarship/Bursary payment, because the student believes in the new direction agenda as the students accounted for the greater population of voters in the just concluded election.
We also want to appreciate the INEC officials, the security agencies and all those that ensured peace and orderliness towards the success of this historic election. Congratulations to the good people of Kogi State.
