Three hundred and fifty youth delegates from the seven local governments in Kogi West senatorial district will gather at Idrinana Hotel in Lokoja on November 25 to set agenda for the upcoming 2019 general elections.

According to the convener of the Kogi West Youth Dialogue, Comrade Oladele Nihi, the 2019 elections in Kogi state will be a different ball game as the Youth Dialogue is set to set the tempo for a paradigm shift.

He stated in unequivocal terms that upward mobile Kogi youths will take centre stage and ensure that the 2019 election prop up the best of the best for all elective positions in the state.

Nihi, who is the Kogi State Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), said politicians who think next election will be business as usual are in for a rude shock.

The Secretary of Kogi Best Interest Support Group, Comrade Ali Umar Yakubu, who is a co-convener for the Dialogue, explained that the event is not a plot to challenge the leadership and position of elders in the state. He said the Dialogue is to bridge the gap between the old and young leaders in the state.

Ali noted that elders from the zone have been invited to participate as speakers and panelists during the Dialogue.
