Kogi State Lawmakers to Sponsor Yagba Students’ Programmes

Members of Kogi State House of Assembly from Yagba Federal Constituency has pledged to sponsor the initiatives of National Association of Yagba Students (NAYAS), Kogi State University chapter.
The lawmakers made this known when delegates of NAYS paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole in Lokoja on Wednesday.
President of NAYAS, Comrade Adeleye Oluwafemi presented the initiatives and proposed projects of the association to the lawmaker; Hon. Oluwatoyin Umar Lawal of Yagba West, Hon. Musa Jimoh Omiata of Yagba East and Hon. Obaro Abayomi Pedro of Mopamuro. He appealed for financial and moral support to execute proposed projects.
Speaking on behalf of the lawmakers, Barr. Lawal assured the students of their unflinching support and pledged that they will sponsor their laudable projects.
The students were advised to shun every form of social vices and malpractices on campus. The lawmakers also applauded the students for the initiative that will enhance their learning capacity on campus.
The students proposed distribution of writing materials across various primary and secondary schools in Yagba land. They also plan to organise academic tutorials and publish NAYAS KSU magazine.
Other members of the delegation present include; the association’s secretary, Comr. Adedayo Jesutoroti Goodness; Public Relation Officer, Comr. Jacob Damilare Abraham; Treasurer, Comr. Adeola Micheal; and a member, Comr. Ogungbemi Sunday.
